The position

Job description

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to oversee the planning and execution of tech team-building events. The ideal candidate will manage customer interactions, support sales efforts, and ensure successful event delivery by coordinating with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in project management, customer engagement, and technical aptitude is essential. This role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment focused on innovation and customer satisfaction.

You will also fully own and maintain our CodinGame.com community product with over 4 million developers.

Goals

  • Coordination Gaps: Ensure smooth coordination between development teams and customers, bridging the gap between technical requirements and client expectations.

  • Customer Engagement: Improve the customer experience by having a dedicated person who can effectively communicate and manage customer interactions before, during, and after events.

  • Event Success: Guarantee the success of tech team-building events by having a skilled project manager oversee all aspects of event planning, execution, and follow-up.

  • Platform/Product Management: Maintain and manage the CodinGame platform

  • Sales and Marketing Alignment: Enhance the sales process for events by having someone who can engage customers, demo the offerings, and align the events with customer needs.

  • Technical Oversight: Provide technical oversight, ensuring the smooth integration of coding challenges and other technical aspects into the events.

Main responsabilities

Reporting to the CoderPad France (ex-CodinGame) CEO and CoderPad VP Ops, you will work closely with the tech, product, dev marketing and demand gen teams.

  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and follow-up of tech team-building events.

  • Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to understand their needs, align event offerings, and ensure satisfaction.

  • Sales Support: Assist in sales conversations, demo event offerings, and contribute to closing deals.

  • Platform Maintenance: Manage the CodinGame platform to ensure it meets event requirements and runs smoothly.

  • Team Coordination: Act as a liaison between development teams, sales teams, and customers to ensure seamless event delivery.

  • Event Execution: Ensure all aspects of the events are well-coordinated and executed to high standards.

  • Feedback Collection: Gather and analyze feedback from customers and internal teams to improve future events.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and event quality.

  • Innovation: Develop new event formats and ideas based on customer feedback and market trends.

We are looking for someone with 5+ years of experience, including (in this order of priority):

  • Project Management: Ability to plan, execute, and oversee tech team-building events from start to finish.

  • Customer Engagement: Proficiency in managing customer interactions, understanding needs, and aligning event offerings.

  • Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of coding or technical concepts to facilitate discussions with developers and clients.

  • Sales Support: Capability to assist in sales activities, including demoing event capabilities and closing deals.

  • Product Management: Competence in overseeing and maintaining the CodinGame platform for event execution.

Soft skills/behavioral attributes:

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.

  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly adjust to changing priorities and navigate through unforeseen challenges during event planning and execution.
