For our company Generali CEE Holding we are looking for a new colleague for the position of Senior Regional International Sanctions Expert to support the CEE Anti Financial Crime Officer to advise CEE senior management and CEE countries on international sanctions topics.

What will be the main responsibilities?

  • Support the CEE AFC Officer to keep regularly informed and aligned CEE senior management and Group AFC about the international sanctions risk and its evolution, providing recommendations when necessary.
  • Analyze constantly the applicable sanctions requirements and coordinate the CEE local Compliance and AFC teams with the preparation of gap and impact analysis on the local processes and procedures, in close alignment with Group AFC.
  • Facilitate the cascading and implementation of international sanctions policy and guideline in the CEE entities, also providing non-binding opinions to the countries when necessary.
  • Monitor the implementation of international sanctions policy and guideline in the CEE entities.
  • Provide trainings about international sanctions to the CEE senior management and to the CEE local Compliance and AFC teams.
  • Support the execution of second level controls and recommend mitigation actions, when needed, in the CEE countries.
  • Promote a compliance culture within the CEE region.

What should the perfect candidate have?

  • English full proficiency.
  • At least 4 years of Anti Financial Crime / International Sanctions experience, gathered at international financial institution.
  • Specific knowledge of US and EU Sanctions framework and of remediation programs.
  • Understanding of sanctions tools’ features (e.g., screening tool, fuzzy matching logic filtering).
  • Experience with International Sanctions Advisory matters (definition and update of policies and procedures, knowledge of sanctions clause and other international clauses, settlement with authorities).
  • Experience in a complex and challenging environment, international mindset, ability to build relationships and manage international stakeholders.
  • Proved experience in the preparation of documents, reports and recommendations for senior management.
