For this reason, we want to expand our Finance team with someone who will become part of our Finance team at Notino, where you'll never get bored. As our new Head of Accounting, you will be responsible for leading and management of our accounting department, you will also act as a Deputy Financial Director. What will you do?

• Lead and manage our accounting department functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Oversee general ledger management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
• You will participate on the ongoing transformation of our Finance department, scaling up to meet the needs of the strategic plan - turnover growth, further foreign expansion, automation (OCR, EDI,...), system upgrade.
• Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Coordinate and participate in financial audits, both internal and external.
• Ensure compliance with financial laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Participate in strategic planning and identify financial risks, proposing strategies to mitigate them.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial management software and systems.
• Lead or participate in strategic financial projects to improve efficiency and accuracy.

What do you need?

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting management, with at least 3 years of experience leading teams.
• Excellent financial and accounting proficiency, with knowledge of CZ accounting standards and IFRS.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and maintain engagement on a long-term journey.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate well with a diverse team.
• You need to be fluent in Czech/Slovak and you should be able to fluently communicate in English (B2+).
• A big plus is experience with change management or transformation projects.
• Experience from a complex environment or a big sales, e-commerce, SSC, or BIG4 company is appreciated.
• Resilience and a "can-do" attitude are essential.
