Position Summary

Prose is seeking a Confirmed DevOps Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and optimization of our infrastructure and platform. This role is ideal for someone passionate about operational excellence, with a meticulous approach to problem-solving and a drive to grow their technical expertise.

As a key contributor to our DevOps team, you will work on maintaining our systems’ stability and performance while collaborating with developers to improve deployment pipelines, monitoring, and operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Excellence
  • Maintain and ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-hosted infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform)
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and address operational issues, ensuring high availability of services.
  • Contribute to the upkeep and optimization of our Kubernetes clusters and containerized environments
  • Assist in managing our self-hosted GitLab instance to support efficient CI/CD workflows
• Technical Execution
  • Participate in provisioning and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform and Helm
  • Enhance and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure proactive issue resolution
  • Regularly audit and improve developer tools, pipelines, and processes to enhance the developer experience
  • Support the deployment of new product features by collaborating with developers on infrastructure design

Key Candidate Requirements

• Experience
• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role
• Proven ability to work within a cloud-based environment, preferably Google Cloud Platform
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and Kubernetes
• Skills and Knowledge
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Helm
• Basic experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab pipelines) and an eagerness to improve workflows
• Knowledge of Linux systems (Debian) and fundamental networking concepts
• Exposure to monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) is a plus
