Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant with extensive SAP knowledge to manage both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes in Tunisia. This role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and efficiency of our organization.

Main Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable (AR):

• Ensure the accuracy and cleanliness of accounting records.
• Sync bank statements correctly and post payment lots accurately.
• Allocate received payments to business partner accounts.
• Perform timely and accurate clearings.
• Post issued invoices and maintain business partner accounts.
• Execute specific tasks for month-end closings.
• Have a strong understanding of the customer collection process, payment service providers, and customer payment methods.
• Understand bad debt calculation in line with IFRS 9.
• Reconcile accounts/invoices and manage revenue accruals at month-end closing.
• Manage customer open items and monitor transitory accounts.

Accounts Payable (AP):

• Process supplier invoices and ensure on-time supplier payments.
• Guarantee timely month-end closings.
• Post supplier invoices in SAP.
• Understand and apply VAT principles related to supplier invoices (input VAT, reverse charge).
• Reconcile purchase orders (PO) with supplier invoices in SAP.
• Execute payment runs, clear supplier payments, and manage supplier open items.
• Perform supplier reconciliation and update vendor master data.
• Understand debit to credit accounting logic and manage accruals for services/goods received but not yet invoiced by suppliers.
• Monitor transitory accounts.

Profile/Required Expertise:

• Extensive knowledge and experience with SAP.
• Strong foundational knowledge in accounting with a focus on AR/AP.
• Analytical skills and a proactive approach to improving process efficiency.
• General Ledger experience is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

Languages:

• Fluency in French and English.
• German is a plus.

Seniority Level:

• 4-5 years of relevant experience in AR/AP.
