We are looking for a Platform Buyer in our Power Division in Prague. As a Platform Buyer you will perform all activities of consecutive PLATFORM sourcing decisions being applied on Platform Components of any P1 project awards. You will be responsible for daily P2 purchasing activities to secure successful launch in the supply chain and to reduce BOM cost to win new business in the compressor module budget.

YOUR CHALLENGES?

As a member of the platform team you will:

• Enforce sourcing decision taken in Platform SoCo on all P1 awards
• Perform Platform SoCo for all Platform Components and issue whenever necessary Specific VRF and Generic Pricing Agreement in line with Price Matrix, LTA & BL negotiated by Platform Purchasing Manager (Lead Buyer), and and sets targets according to full PF scope (Volumes, Costs..) in line with Segment strategies & Regional constraints
• Enforce Purchasing Decisions or support arbitration in front of his other Network peers
• Finalise contractual requirements for Platform components specific to the local entity with the project team such as S-VRF, Logistic Protocol…
• Ensure Supplier full understanding of local requirement
• Capture improvement proposals, and escalate them to the Platform Team
• Monitor and anticipate capacity risks in line with PF volume ramp up
• Make the best possible use of all PuMa features and promote its usage among his project team
• Perform APQP process in coordination with the project team and SQA network in SRM
• Monitor Supplier achievement of PQA milestones according to Project Milestones
• Assess pre-selected suppliers risk impacts on the project related to Development or Production capacity, Technical or Quality capability, financial sustainability
• Propose with Project team & Commodity organization mitigation plan and ensures it is properly recorded in PuMa SoCo section and/or One page documents
• Communicate to P1 Development centers and enforce PF Panel award in P1 - Respect of Standard
• Identify, Collect, Transversalize, Implement Productivities on the PF Component worldwide
• Define and control communication flows and contents between project teams and suppliers
• Ensure all necessary documentation (Project & Supplier) is properly stored in PuMa (contracts, LON, LTA, BL)
• Manage updates in Serial Life and trigger platform resources to engage qualification of changes with Technical and Customers networks
• Feed back to platform team members all Platform purchasing KPIs and lead the productivity action plan (VP & PTBV) to reach CAA Targets and ensures application of contracts (LTA, Price Roadmap) over Platform components lifetime
• Support P1 project buyers using platform components to ensure project will meet from SOP: (i) commodity strategy, (ii) localization needs of receiving plant, (iii) global leverage and securitization of the supply base for the platform

LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU…

• University degree in technical or economic or foreign language field
• Automotive Industry working experience preferred
• Good working experience with R&D network preferred
• Strong negotiation capability with multi-purchasing tools preferred
• Good technology knowledge and cost structure knowhow to promote design to cost design
• Market and Supplier knowledge preferred
• Major experience with low cost countries panels preferred
• Rich purchasing experience in compressor parts preferred, ex diecasting / precision machining / shaft / bearing / Al forging / Iron Castings / stamping / injection / Rubber forming / electronics
• Experience in SAP preferred
• Able to read / understand 2D (dimensional tolerance and Form and Position Tolerance)
• Result Oriented mindset / Problem solving skills
• Agility / Good communication skills / Dealing with organization
• Frequent English speaking capability / working experience within international companies preferred
