In 2024, we achieved over €30 million in annual recurring revenues (ARR), driven by a talented team of 60 professionals across five key departments: Development/Product, Technical Support, Marketing, Sales, and People/Finance.

We’re looking for a highly motivated finance manager to join the team and play a key role in leading and developing all the Weglot finance functions. This role offers a balance between running daily operational actions with immediate impact and building the finance stack and excellence for the future.

Missions

You will lead the Weglot finance team, working alongside Jean-Emmanuel (Finance Operations Officer with a strong automation mindset) and report directly to Augustin, the CEO (co-founder).

Your primary missions include:

1. Accounting & Tax

  • Accounts closing: responsible for periodical closing in collaboration with our external accountants and statutory auditors. Implement processes to ensure all required accounting data are reconciled and documented for monthly, quarterly, annual closing and financial statements

  • Revenue recognition: improve the revenue recognition processes and controls based on the accrual method

  • Internal controls: implement internal controls and policies to ensure accounting data accuracy

  • Cash management: optimize our banking structure and cash allocation in savings

  • Regulatory compliance: ensure our compliance with financial regulations, social and tax authorities (VAT, CIR, IS, etc.), and any other regulatory bodies

    2. Finance operations (working closely with Jean-Emmanuel - whose scope is mainly focused on Finance)

    • Finance operations run: oversee daily operations and handle spending & procurement management

    • Collection performance: Improve our performance in AR and PSPs revenue recovery

    • Finance automation: be a driving force to implement automated processes and workflows to improve financial reliability and support a scalable business

    • Finance operational excellence: improve the processes and quality of finance data and ensure the Finance team acts as its best ineasing operational burdens for all teams

    • Knowledge base: Manage internal and external finance FAQs, ensuring clear communication and transparency

    3. Strategic Finance & Legal

    • Forecast & budget: assist the CEO on financial planning, budgeting and investment opportunities

    • Financial reporting: ensure full consistency across the company’s financial reporting

    • Investor relations: be the main point of contact of the investors for financial inquiries (monthly newsletter and reporting, board presentation financial materials, etc.)

    • Financial strategy: assist the CEO in developing and implementing the financial strategy

    • Declarations: responsible for legal and tax declaration

    • Corporate agreements: responsible for any financial-related contract provisions in our corporate agreements

    4. Cross-functions

    • Finance organization: mentor team members

    • Finance objectives: define Finance team roadmap

    • Ad-hoc operations: assist CEO in any ad-hoc operations (expansion, M&A projects, etc.)

    • Legal ops: conduct due diligences for critical supplier contracts

    • Corporate agreement: responsible for any financial-related terms in our agreements (payment terms in MSA and Reseller agreements)


    Profile we're looking for :

    • Experience: 4-6 years in finance, ideally in Transaction Services at a major accounting firm and / or in a subscription based tech company (SaaS, B2C app, etc.)
    • Prior experience with our financial stack is a plus: Pennylane, Stripe, Qonto, Quaderno, Fincome, Upflow, Chartmogul, Hubspot, n8n
    • Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and accounting skills. Experience with financial automation, SaaS business models, and revenue recognition.
      Solution / automation / tools / process oriented.
    • Mindset: Detail-oriented, proactive, and process-driven. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership of financial missions.
    • Spoken languages: French (fluent), English (full professional proficiency)
