The position

Job description

As a member of the Data Science team, you will fully participate in conducting real-world (observational) patient studies for our clients, including pharmaceutical companies, medical technology companies, biotechnology companies, medical device manufacturers, and medical researchers.

Your main responsibilities within a multidisciplinary team (pharmacists, statisticians, engineers, sales representatives) include:

  • Participating in the conduct of prospective observational studies based on data collected directly from patients: literature review, study design, drafting of protocol and questionnaire, regulatory procedures, data collection and in-depth analysis, drafting of study reports, and presentation of results to the client.

  • Supporting the team with technical expertise (implementation of new statistical analysis methods, R development, training of team members).

  • Writing/reviewing statistical analysis plans and guiding other team members in their implementation.

  • Defining appropriate methods and procedures for statistical analysis.

  • Contributing to the writing and publication of posters and scientific articles in reference journals or medical conferences.

  • Identifying new scientific and technological partners.

  • Collaborating with other teams to improve Carenity’s offerings for patients, collaborators, and customers.

Preferred experience

  • Graduate of a top-ranking engineering school and/or a master’s degree or PhD in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, epidemiology or related field

  • At least 3 years’ experience in health statistics.

  • Strong understanding of statistical principles and strong statistical skills: descriptive, univariate, bivariate, multivariate analyses, statistical modelling (linear and logistic regressions, mixed model, etc.), multiple test correction, clustering methods.

  • Mastering of R and Excel.

  • Fluent in English (written and oral), French (written and oral).

  • Demonstrated initiative and motivation.

  • Willingness to master methods of clinical research field and health field.

  • Excellent analytical, writing and synthesis skills

  • Strong organizational, time management, and planning skills to create and follow timelines.

  • Willingness to get involved in a young ambitious high growth company.

Nice to have:

  • Proficiency in one or more data visualization tools.

  • Proficiency in one or more additional languages.
