Overview
The CircleCI team counts over 650 members amongst whom the 15 France based team members have a very particular role. They are the Developer Experience team, a unit that is part of the Research and Development Lab of CircleCI. This laboratory aims to put CircleCI on the forefront of software engineering innovation by exploring key topics in the DevOps field.

Developer Experience Team
The Developer Experience team works on giving developers high confidence in changes brought to a project in order to deploy more frequently with a higher quality. At the moment they are working on accelerating developers in their local environment.
More practically it means that they are creating solutions to increase the support of CircleCI to developers in the local environment thanks to shift-left, developer-happiness-focused solutions such as CI pipeline management from the IDE, language support for CircleCI YAML files, local validation and more!

Research and Development Lab
The Research & Development Lab is the newest innovation outpost of CircleCI. Its main purpose is to craft unique solutions to the most pressing issues of the CICD ecosystem. Within the R&D Lab, CircleCI explores how to shape the future of software development through new developer-experience-focused tools but also through simplified processes for developers to deploy and release their code with confidence.
