The Cash ICSD & Data unit develops, maintains, and supports critical applications related to cash payments and reconciliations. We ensure to Business and Operation teams seamless operations, reliability, and security of financial systems, playing a vital role in the success of our organization and satisfaction of our stakeholders.
We are actively seeking a skilled and motivated Back-End Java Developer with expertise in SpringBoot, REST API and Oracle database to join our team. You will oversee designing and creating robust RESTful APIs that will serve as the backbone for the new React-based front-end.
Your responsibilities:
- Design and implement server-side Java applications, ensuring high performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Create and integrate OpenAPI to enable smooth communication between the new React-based front-end and back-end systems.
- Implement robust error handling and logging mechanisms to ensure comprehensive monitoring and debugging of applications.
- Adhere to best practices in applications security, implementing necessary measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct thorough unit testing to deliver high-quality, bug-free software.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, provide feedback, and promote collaborative development environment.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the back-end systems, optimizing code and database queries to enhance overall application performance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in back-end development and apply them to enhance development processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for projects, including architectural diagrams, APIs, and coding standards.
- Be available for stand-by support for critical applications, responding to and addressing any emergencies or incidents that may occur outside regular working hours.
Your profile:
- Strong proficiency in Java programming with hands-on experience with SpringBoot, Camel, JBoss EAP 8. Java 17 programming experience is advantageous.
- Experience in designing and implementing REST APIs for communication between server-side and client-side applications.
- Familiarity with the OpenAPI specification.
- Ability to work with UNIX environments, including command-line operations and scripting.
- Familiarity with DevOps deployment technologies like: Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Tekton.
- Familiarity with Oracle database concepts and hands-on experience with SQL commands.
- A master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field is mandatory.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- A passion for learning and improving coding skills and keeping up to date with industry trends.
- Good problem-solving skills with ability to analyze complex technical challenges and provide effective solutions.
