Area of work:

 

For our Section "Energy IT”, we are looking for a dedicated Network System Engineer contribute to the development and operations of critical infrastructure for 24/7 services in agile working environment.

 

As a Network Specialist System Engineer, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining 24/7 infrastructure with a focus on networking in an agile environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and ensure seamless integration of networking solutions that support our "everything as code" philosophy. Your expertise in routing, TLS termination, firewalling, and packet capturing will be essential in optimizing network performance and security.

 

 

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Design, implement network solutions that align with agile practices and an "everything as code" approach
  • Configure and manage routing protocols to ensure efficient data flow across the network. Implement and manage TLS termination to secure data in transit
  • Develop and maintain firewall policies to protect network resources and enforce security best practices
  • Utilize packet capturing tools to analyze and troubleshoot network performance issues
  • Collaborate with development and application operations teams to integrate network configurations into CI/CD pipelines via shift left approach
  • Monitor network performance and implement optimizations as needed
  • Maintain documentation of network architecture, configurations, and processes
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in networking and security
  • Provide technical support and training to team members as needed

 

 

Your profile:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of F5 BIG-IP load-balancers
  • Proven experience in network engineering or a related role, preferably within an agile environment
  • Strong knowledge of network fundamentals, including TCP/UDP, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), and network security principles
  • Familiarity with bare metal, virtualized and containerized computing
  • Expertise in TLS termination and firewall management
  • Proficient in using packet capturing tools (e.g., Wireshark) for network analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Ansible, Terraform
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
