The position includes all subjects relating to the development and integration of HyLighter systems: development of embedded systems, integration of electronic components, programming of microcontrollers, integration of sensors and communication protocols.
The mission : Altogether with the whole tech team you will develop new systems and reinforce the robustness of current systems. This is a 360° role in all aspects of product software and hardware development. You’ll be in charge of system design and architecture, as well as the design of new systems and their complete integration (hardware and software) on the HyLighter. It’s a resourceful role, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn a lot. The HyLight team has big developments ahead of it: new systems to design, new steerable drones, new ground facilities and many other things to improve.
Personal note from Josef (CTO): This is a cross-functional position that touches on everything to do with hardware development. It’s likely to have a strong impact on the development of HyLight. We’re looking for someone who can quickly take on responsibility, to increase HyLighter’s reliability, and be at the forefront of all new improvement topics. If you like to spend your days programming microcontrollers, improving electronics, designing PCBs and are adept at exploring diverse areas and tasks, you’re the right person. The team is still on a human scale (17 people) and this is a unique opportunity to make a big impact!
Technical skills required :
Engineering school or similar, with good knowledge in Mechatronic.
Microcontroller: ESP32, Atmega328
Communication protocols: UART, CAN, I2C, PWM, SPI, RS485
Other board: Raspberry
Programming language: C/C++, Python
Electronic knowledge : PCB design, power electronics, electronic system sizing
Appetence for the drone industry.
Autonomous in your work, did a bunch of cool projects.
Curious, eager to learn, likes to create and build things
