The position

Job description

This position is based in Paris, where our offices are located.

What you will do

As an Office Manager at Joko, your mission will be to bring both structure and energy to the team. You will own a broad and highly challenging scope of responsibilities, ensuring that our office is a flawless place to work and that our team experiences are second to none. You will report directly to the VP People.

Your responsibilities:

  • Office & Workplace Excellence: You will ensure that our Paris office is not just functional, but impeccable—clean, organized, and a true pleasure to work in. You will be the first point of contact for all office-related matters and the key resource for remote employees across France and abroad. Managing our service providers, supplies, and facilities, you will create and maintain an outstanding workspace where people feel great every single day. A spotless, well-run office is your standard.

  • Events & Team Cohesion: You will bring the team together through thoughtfully planned and high-quality events. From our All Hands meetings to Joko Academies, Team Events, Joko Drinks, Joko Houses, Offsites, and our legendary Christmas Party—you will make sure each gathering is not just well-organized, but also a moment of real connection and good vibes. You will also own the creation of engaging internal content, including our weekly internal newsletter.

  • People Operations & Onboarding: First impressions matter, and onboarding is a critical part of the Joko experience. You will own and refine the onboarding process to ensure that every new hire is welcomed seamlessly—with everything from employment contracts and IT setup to team introductions and custom Joko goodies handled flawlessly. Beyond onboarding, you will manage payroll (Payfit), track key People-related legal routines (DPAE, health visits), and be the go-to person for health coverage (Alan), meal vouchers (Swile), and training requests (Simbel).

  • Admin & Compliance: You will track employee expenses (travel, work-from-home allowance, etc.) and ensure that all invoices are correctly recorded for our accounting team (Qonto). In collaboration with the Finance & Legal team, you will oversee our compliance routines, particularly regarding GDPR requirements, and ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.

Preferred experience

  • Location: You are based in Paris.

  • Mindset: You have an entrepreneurial spirit and a deep passion for People & Workplace topics. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, love challenges, and are eager to get hands-on.

  • Languages: You are fluent in both French and English, written and spoken. We are expanding internationally soon, and not all team members speak French.

  • Communication: You are comfortable engaging with the team and speaking in front of large groups.

  • Interpersonal Skills: You build strong relationships and foster a sense of belonging within the team.

  • Autonomy & Ownership: You take full ownership of your responsibilities and manage complex projects from start to finish with little supervision.

  • Efficiency & Organization: You are detail-oriented, structured, and excellent at juggling multiple priorities while keeping a sharp eye on deadlines.

  • Attention to Detail: You spot what others might miss and ensure that every detail—big or small—is handled impeccably.

Our perks

We believe that flexibility and trust are important parts of a company. Our work environment reflects this thanks to:

  • Flexible remote: If you live in Paris, you can work from our office or from your place with no constraints. If you live elsewhere, you can get access to a coworking space.

  • Work from anywhere: Do you want to travel to Italy for a month and work from there? For up to 3 months a year, you may work from most countries in the world.

On top of that, we offer many perks such as:

  • a ClassPass subscription for you to stay in shape wherever you are
