🛠️ Our BizOps team

The Business Operations team is at the core of Joko’s success: it builds the technology enabling an optimized way of operating.

Composed of both Software Engineers and Project Engineers, we support all teams in strengthening and automating their processes.

We analyze inefficiencies and lack of sophistication in the organization and decide on the right technical solution to help improve it. Saas benchmarking and implementation, no/low code hacks or full-fledged software development, we take full advantage of the world latest technologies to build a lean and optimized company.

🎯 What you will do

As a Software Engineer in the Business Operations team, you will leverage technology to support all teams in achieving the highest degree of operational efficiency, enabling Joko to run smoothly at scale.

Working closely with Program Engineers who will help transform needs into functional specifications and build a prioritized backlog, you will design and implement high-impact software solutions.

For example, you might work on:

  • the revamp of our internal back-office to unlock untapped operational efficiency

  • improving our current fraud detection mechanism

  • implementing fully-fledged AI assistants to help teams in their operations

You will collaborate with the other experienced Software Engineers in the team to reach excellence in the development process.

This role will be a perfect fit if:

  • You want to master full-stack software engineering, by tackling complex & varied full-stack projects from A to Z within a team equipped with very strong software practices

  • You want to achieve high impact on the company and build a strong business sense & operational vision through ambitious 360 projects

Preferred experience

  • Experience: You graduated from a top engineering school or have led outstanding entrepreneurial projects. We recruit both out-of-school and seasoned (> 4 years) engineers for this role.

  • Problem solver: You have strong analytical skills, you are creative, and you love solving complex problems.

  • Feedback enthusiast: You thrive through the feedback you receive, and likewise you help others grow through your feedback.

  • Engineer at heart: You are comfortable in a technical environment. You are always curious to understand how things work and you are able to quickly learn new programming languages, new frameworks, or new practices.

  • Pragmatism & efficiency: You are wary of over-engineering. You are fond of productivity tips and able to deliver on time on projects with many stakeholders.

  • Mindset: You have an entrepreneurial mindset, you like challenges, you like getting hands-on and you want to know more about how a tech start-up company works.

  • Attention to detail: You know that the devil is in the details, and you have a talent for spotting flaws wherever they are.

  • Languages: You are fluent in English both written and spoken, as we are expanding internationally. Mastering French is not required.
