BEST (“Business, Expertises, Services & Technologies”) brings together, within a single organization, various skills and activities of Finance and Human Resources at L’ORÉAL in France.
Within BEST Finance, the Operational Excellence Finance team is driven by 4 pillars:
- Transformation Driver: Steer the BEST transformation roadmap
- Continuous Improvement Catalyst: Develop the continuous improvement approach within operational teams, evaluate continuous improvement ideas, accelerate and contribute to making initiatives concrete
- Tech Enabler: Maximize the use of existing tools (SAP, BLACKLINE…), accelerate the adoption of new tools, bring technical improvements (automation…) to dedicated instances, and lead IT BRMs in resolving recurring malfunctions
- Value Guardian: Strengthen operational performance and measure value creation
What a day in the life of the IT Applicative support manager looks like Manage a team of 3 people dedicated to the
Application Support: animate the team’s activity, follow the indicators (and especially the backlog), decline the team’s roadmap
Monitor the IT performance of the Finance systems, represent BEST in the Incidents instances of each IT committee (with the SMD/BRM)
- 5 SAP platforms: NEO (SAP S4/HANA), PT1, P48, P32, P72
- Peripheral systems used by Finance with non-Best support: ReadSoft, HIP…
- Peripheral systems with level 1 and/or 2 support provided by the Application support teams you manage.
- Lead an incident follow-up committee with the LPOs and/or Line Finance managers, to share the status of incidents (backlog, processing time, prioritisation…)
- Identify during these committees, the recurring incidents for which it is appropriate to open Problem Resolution
- Work with different IT stakeholders to speed up the processing of priority tickets
Coordinate the waves of system/tool updates impacting BEST Finance employees by mobilizing LPOs (Scope of tests, Execution of tests….)
Participate as a technical and functional contributor on projects that require it
Be a key player in maximizing the use of tools through the organization of upskilling, identification of technical improvements with LPOs and employees, development in Citizen Dev Mode of automation
Be the point of contact for bringing automation requests to the Tech Factory
