A Day in the Life

As a Buyer within one of L’Oréal’s dynamic divisions, you’ll be at the heart of the action, ensuring a seamless flow of materials that power some of the world’s most iconic beauty brands. This isn’t just about procurement; it’s about strategic partnerships, innovative solutions, and driving impactful change. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams - Packaging, Development, Supply Chain, and Factories - you’ll be instrumental in bringing innovative products to market and optimizing our operations for peak performance. This role is a launchpad for your career, offering significant growth opportunities to develop your expertise in strategic sourcing and supplier management.

  • Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation: Develop and execute sourcing strategies for your assigned portfolio, focusing on cost optimization, quality assurance, and supply chain resilience. Lead negotiations with suppliers, securing favorable terms and conditions while building strong, collaborative relationships.
  • New Product Development Support: Actively participate in new product development projects, providing cost estimates, leading requests for quotations, and ensuring timely procurement of materials.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Regularly assess supplier performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Roadmap Development & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive sourcing roadmap for your portfolio, aligning with L’Oréal’s strategic objectives and the “L’Oréal for the Future” sustainability commitments. This includes identifying and implementing sustainable sourcing practices.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze market trends, benchmark supplier performance, and prepare regular reports on key metrics, including cost analysis, lead times, and quality. Proficient use of Excel and Power BI is essential.

We Are Looking For

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in Operations fields, preferably in direct sourcing and a background in engineering is desirable
  • Language Skills: Fluent English
  • Teamwork & Communication: Strong team spirit and ability to work in multifunctional teams; strong interpersonal skills are essential
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to develop roadmaps, manage complex projects, and execute with leadership and pragmatism.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with IT tools, including Excel, Power BI, and sourcing tools
