Position Overview

Location: Paris (France) 
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Computer Vision Engineer to join our Fashion team at Meero, focusing on our AutoRetouch product line. As part of a 10-person startup-like team within Meero, you will play a crucial role in revolutionizing the production and editing of images for e-commerce through cutting-edge AI technologies.
About the Team and Products
Our Fashion team is dedicated to developing AutoRetouch, an advanced suite of AI-driven tools designed to transform image production and editing for large brands and marketplaces in the B2B e-commerce space. The core challenge is to develop and deploy AI algorithms at scale, capable of processing tens of millions of images annually. 
AutoRetouch consists of two main products:

  1. AI Image Enhancement: Automates the retouching process of pre-captured photos using advanced image segmentation and generative AI techniques, such as shadow creation. This product is already in the market and serving multiple clients, streamlining their image production workflows.

  2. AI Image Generation: Focuses on generating high-quality images that showcase real clothes on AI-generated models. This product is currently in the pre-product-market fit stage, with significant potential and for innovation and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms for different applications.
  • Lead and manage computer vision projects from concept to deployment, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and product managers, to integrate computer vision solutions into products.
  • Conduct research to stay abreast of the latest advancements in computer vision and machine learning technologies.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all computer vision projects and processes.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of computer vision development.

Preferred experience

Minimum Qualifications/Skills

  • Preferred Ph.D. degree in Machine Learning or Computer Vision, with a strong focus on genAI.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with strong expertise in computer vision and deep learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch, OpenCV, TensorFlow,).
  • Experience with generative models such as Diffusion Models, in particular in-depth understanding of model architecture and ability to adjust and finetune state-of-the-art models.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders and demonstrated success in developing and executing AI strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset and ability to drive projects involving complex technical challenges with a high degree of ownership, from initial concept through to deployment and maintenance
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred:

  • Good knowledge of software development best practices, including version control (Git), containerization (Docker), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and Agile methodologies.
  • Both English and French communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Is a plus: contribution to open source projects in the GenAI field.
