At Pure Storage, we’re seeking a mature, operationally strong, and highly motivated Public Sales Director to join our team. In this role, you will lead a team of dedicated Account Executives, creating a positive and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. The successful candidate will have the ability to establish strong business relationships at the executive level, support key sales presentations, and provide strategic direction to the sales team in coordinating multiple resources within an account and successfully closing business for Pure Storage.

What You Will Be Doing
- Lead and inspire a team of Public Sector Account Executives to success, ensuring the Pure Culture and Values are woven into everything we do.
- Hire and grow a talented, diverse team of Account Executives as business needs evolve and transform.
- Provide leadership and support to the extended Pure Storage team (SEs, Channel Managers, Inside Sales reps, etc.) aligned to your district.
- Lead the team’s performance, ensuring key metrics such as pipeline growth, partner alignment, and forecast accuracy stay on track. Always maintain a 4X pipeline to goal.
- Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with channel partners, distribution, GSI, and alliance partner leadership teams.
- Actively lead sales calls, modeling success, and ensuring every team member achieves or surpasses their sales goals.
- Travel locally and internationally to foster relationships and business growth.
- Drive and achieve business goals, including annual bookings, new logos, and strong participation from your Account Executives.
- Regularly review team activities and pipeline, adjusting strategies as needed to stay on target.
- Use analytical skills to tackle problems, enhance performance, and optimize results.
- Take charge of performance management, ensuring consistent growth and development for your team.
What You Bring to the Team
- 10+ years of successful field sales experience, with 5+ years in sales management, especially within German Public Sector technology sales in a competitive environment.
- A proven record of selling to IT departments and management is essential.
- Passion for leadership and the ability to motivate and develop talent, ensuring the growth and success of your team.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a proven ability to inspire, influence, and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Strong track record of recruitment and team development, with a focus on nurturing talent and fostering an inclusive environment.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations and find solutions that drive team success.
- Experience using CRM systems and other online tools to track and manage sales activities.
- A university degree is required.
- Fluent in German and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Munich office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
