The position

Job description

As a Senior Data Scientist at Quinten Healthcare, you will be a key leader in driving the development and execution of advanced analytical solutions in the healthcare sector. Working at the intersection of data science and healthcare, you will apply your deep expertise in modeling, machine learning, and data-driven decision-making to solve complex healthcare challenges. You will lead cross-functional project teams, collaborate closely with clients, and mentor junior data scientists, all while contributing to the innovation and growth of Quinten’s healthcare activities. 

  • Lead the design and implementation of machine learning models and statistical methods to solve high-impact healthcare problems.

  • Contribute to the development and optimization of complex data processing workflows and pipelines, leveraging advanced programming skills.

  • Drive the innovation of new algorithms and methodologies tailored to healthcare challenges. You will prototype, test, and refine algorithms with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, scalability and interpretability, ensuring that the solutions are adaptable to client needs.

  • Guide and mentor junior data scientists, ensuring the quality and consistency of their work. Provide technical leadership and oversight on projects, facilitating knowledge sharing and the development of best practices within the team.

  • Translate client business challenges into technical solutions. Lead the entire project lifecycle, from initial problem framing to delivering insights and presenting results to a diverse  audience, including non-technical profiles.

  • Identify opportunities for technical innovation and propose alternative approaches where necessary

  • Stay at the forefront of industry advancements in data science, machine learning, and healthcare technologies.



Preferred experience

Preferred experience**:**

You have at least 3 years of experience on Data Science projects, come from an engineering school and/or have a master’s degree or PhD in Data Science, and have the following skills:

  • You master statistical and machine learning techniques and have the ability to adapt an algorithm to a specific problem;

  • You master statistical and machine learning libraries (sklearn/caret, pandas/data.table…);

  • You have knowledge of continuous integration (Git versioning, unit tests) ;

  • ou master Python and/or R programming  ;

  • You have knowledge of distributed computing (parallelization and/or Spark);

  • You have synthesis and communication skills allowing you to explain concepts to a non-technical audience;

  • You have organizational and rigorous qualities, and a taste for teamwork

  • You are comfortable in English, both oral and written;

  • Experience in the health sector

Additional Skills**:**

  • Participation in online competitions (Kaggle, DREAM, …) or in open-source or collaborative projects;

  • You have knowledge of code profiling and optimization;

  • Experience in Deep learning (Tensorflow/Torch/Theano/Keras…);

  • Knowledge of NLP and/or Computer Vision;

  • You have one or more experiences in project industrialization
