Position Overview:

The SAP Basis Administrator will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of our SAP S/4HANA landscape, ensuring its smooth operation, high availability and optimal performance. The SAP basis administrator will play a key role in managing the technical Foundation of our critical business application, collaborating closely with various teams to ensure system stability, security and efficiency.

  • Deep understanding of SAP Basis administration concepts and best practice.
  • Proficiency in SAP 4HANA system administration.
  • Strong knowledge of sap Hana database Administration.
  • Expertise in operating systems (Linux and windows).
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and protocols.
  • Experience with sap security and authorization concepts.
  • Knowledge of system monitoring and performance tuning tools
  • Ability to perform system upgrades and migrations.
  • Experience with script and language (e.g. shell scripting).

Additional Responsibilities:

System installation and configuration:

  • Install and configure SAP 4HANA systems and related components.
  • Setup and maintain SAP Landscapes, including development, including development, quality assurance and production environments.
  • Configure and manage system resources such as Memory, CPU and storage.

System monitoring and maintenance:

  • Proactively monitor system performance and identify potential issues.
  • Perform regular system health checks and Implement necessary optimizations.
  • Apply sap patches and upgrades to ensure system stability and security.

Manage system backups and Recovery procedures.

  • User and Security Management:
  • Create and manage user accounts and authorizations.
  • Implement and maintain security policies and procedures.
  • Monitor system access and activity to ensure compliance with security standards.


Transport Management:

  • Manage the transport of changes across the sap landscape.
  • Configure and maintain transport routes and systems.
  • Ensure the integrity and consistency of system configurations.

Performance tuning and optimization:

  • Analyze system performance and identify bottlenecks.
  • Implement Performance Tuning measures to improve system efficiency.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance.
  • Troubleshooting and problem resolution:
  • Diagnose and resolve system issues and errors.
  • Provide technical support to users and other IT teams.
  • Escalade complex issues to sap or other vendors as needed.

Documentation and Knowledge Management:

  • Maintain comprehensive system documentation.
  • Great and update knowledge articles and procedures.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with other team members.

Collaboration and communication:

  • Work closely with functional teams, developers and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with Technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in Project meetings and provide technical input.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as an SAP BASIS Administrator with at least 2+ years of experience specifically with S/4HANA.
  • Proven experience in installing, configuring and maintaining SAP Systems.
  • Strong understanding of SAP NetWeaver architecture and components.
  • Experience with SAP HANA database administration.
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Linux and Windows.
  • Experience with SAP security and authorization concepts.
  • Experience with transport management and change control processes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation and configuration
  • Ability to work on call as needed for system maintenance and emergency support.
  • Willingness to stay current with the latest SAP Technologies and best practices through continuous learning and professional development.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to document work processes and procedures effectively.
  • Capacity to handle high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines.
  • Commitment to maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
