2004
Creation of Leosphere
On April 8, 2004, Alexandre and Laurent Sauvage founded Leosphere after winning the Innovation Prize of the French National Agency for Research Promotion (ANVAR). In order to create the company Leosphere, the two brothers signed a license and collaboration agreement with the Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l'Environnement (LSCE), which is shared by the CEA and the CNRS, with the aim of using their lidar technology for commercial purposes. Leosphere's ambition is to quickly become the European specialist in atmospheric measurement by Lidar (Light Detection And Ranging).
Creation of Leosphere
Leosphere is 100% acquired by the Finnish industrial group Vaisala
Leosphere moves to a brand new industrial site located in Saclay and hosts the French subsidiary of Vaisala: Vaisala SAS: a subsidiary of 10 people (VIM and WEA) already present on the French territory.
Leosphere becomes Vaisala France SAS
En juillet Leosphere absorbe Vaisala SAS.
Puis en octobre la dénomination sociale Leosphere disparaît et devient Vaisala Frances SAS.
