WeWard are looking for a first Head of QA to strengthen our dynamic team and to support our rapid growth. Join us to play a key role in enhancing the quality of our mobile application used daily by millions of people worldwide.

As the Head of QA, you will have the opportunity to develop and structure the quality function within the company. You will work closely with Aurélien, our CTO, Julien, our Head of Mobile, and the Product Managers. Together, you will ensure an exceptional user experience.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and implement the testing strategy to ensure optimal product quality.

• Validate weekly mobile application releases, ensuring a smooth user experience.

• Propose and deploy improvements to processes and tools to optimize quality.

• Recruit and lead a team of QA engineers and testers. Possibility to manage an outsourced QA team.

• Develop and execute test plans for various types of tests (functional, performance, load, security, etc.).

• Automate tests to increase efficiency and coverage.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing and quality processes.

• Perform manual and automated tests and ensure their documentation.

Education and Experience

• Engineering degree or university education in computer science or a related field (alternatively you can justify an equivalent work experience).

• Significant experience as a Lead QA in a mobile or web product team.

• Passion for management with the ability to grow teams and support change.

• Proven experience in implementing automated tests.

• Track record of building and implementing a quality strategy in a demanding environment.

Technical Skills (Hard Skills)

• Expertise in defining test strategies and setting up test plans.

• Knowledge of mobile testing frameworks and tools such as Detox, Maestro, React Native Testing Library.

• Knowledge of (REST) API testing frameworks and tools such as pyTest, python 

• Ability to test the application on a representative fleet of phones.

• Expertise in detecting functional, performance, and compatibility bugs.

• Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog, Sentry, etc.

• Bonus: Experience with a product deployed at scale and internationally.
