Our policy for remote work is flexibility.
At Zama, we’re proud to offer our teams the ability to work and be productive from the comfort of home. We are committed to helping you adapt to the evolving work landscape by ensuring living arrangements are conducive to productivity.
You can work from home as long as you join us when the team needs you on site, for end of quarter events, team days etc.
If you’re based in Paris, you are welcome to join 2 or 3 days per week on average, or everyday if you feel like it!
Team gatherings
At Zama, teams organize their own events every quarter, taking 3 to 4 days to travel within France or abroad for team-building activities. These events are particularly valuable for fostering connections among remote workers and strengthening relationships outside of the daily work environment.
In addition to these quarterly outings, Zama also holds an annual company-wide event, where the entire team gathers for 3 to 4 days to relax, enjoy fun activities, and embrace the company’s holiday spirit.

Four years ago, we founded Zama as an open source cryptography company focused on FHE, the “holy grail of cryptography.” At that time, FHE was more theoretical math than practical code—it was too slow, too expensive, required too much cryptography expertise, and could only support a handful of real-world applications. In the years that followed—largely thanks to the relentless efforts of our team—we methodically tackled each of these problems, making FHE generally accessible to non-cryptography developers for the first time.
