We attempt to ask our employees where they wish to grow and how Gorgias can help them in their future plans. In August 2020, Amy started her job at Gorgias as a Customer Success Manager. Fast forward to today: Amy has held four positions in the company, pioneered two brand-new Gorgias programs, and holds a new position as the Manager of Customer Education.

" In this role, I managed merchant relationships using a one-to-many approach and maintained a local book of business. After a few months, I was promoted to senior CSM — a natural progression for anyone at Gorgias who performs well. While continuing the above duties, I took on additional education duties running webinars and creating educational content.
After realizing the value of education, I upskilled in eLearning, content creation, and instructional design. The culminating project was setting up the Gorgias Academy.
While I built the academy, I needed to prove its impact (one of Gorgias’ values is to maximize your impact, so everyone is accountable for delivering measurable results). I focused on before/after data comparisons to show the substantial impact the academy was having.
After proving the function was valuable, I moved into the Customer Education Specialist role as a one-woman show. "
Amy joined Gorgias just like any other role, but what keeps them here and what keeps them thriving is the environment that Gorgias has built for its employees.
At Gorgias, we use feedback as our compass when developing training and growth programs. Our People Operations team collects insights from across the company to pinpoint the areas where we can improve. We gather ongoing feedback from peers, managers, and employees, and even get company-wide input on leadership. This helps us continuously refine our training initiatives and make sure we’re supporting the right areas for growth.
On top of that, we provide a learning stipend for all employees, giving them the freedom to pursue new skills or coaching in areas they’re passionate about. We believe there’s always room to grow, no matter where you are in your career.
Every year, Gorgias hosts two major retreats to bring our teams closer. The first is an intimate department retreat, where you’ll get the chance to connect with your team face-to-face. Since we’re spread out across the globe, it’s a chance to really get to know each other and strengthen those bonds.
Next, we gather for our company-wide retreat, which is all about relaxing, having fun, and connecting with colleagues across the business. It’s also an opportunity for leadership to share where the company is heading, giving everyone a clear view of our goals and exciting future plans.
