We are seeking a seasoned and innovative Senior Product Owner to drive the development and delivery of cutting-edge radiotherapy planning systems. This pivotal role involves defining product strategy, managing the entire product lifecycle, and ensuring our solutions address clinical and patient needs while meeting regulatory and industry standards. Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, you will play a key role in shaping the future of radiotherapy planning and advancing cancer treatment.
The ideal candidate possesses a profound understanding of radiation oncology, exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, and a proven record of accomplishment in product ownership or management within regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Vision
Develop and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap for radiotherapy planning systems.
Align product objectives with company goals, ensuring the delivery of clinically impactful and commercially successful solutions.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with the Executive Vice President and other senior leaders to establish and prioritize strategic initiatives.
Serve as the primary liaison for cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, regulatory, and clinical collaborators.
Customer and Market Insights
Conduct in-depth market research and analyze customer feedback and clinical workflows to identify unmet needs and growth opportunities.
Collaborate with clinical experts and end-users to ensure product development aligns with real-world clinical practices and challenges.
Product Development Leadership
Author and maintain detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and user stories to guide development teams.
Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews, ensuring efficient team execution.
Prioritize features and initiatives based on business value, technical feasibility, and impact on clinical outcomes.
Oversee and ensure the timely delivery of the product roadmap.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
Ensure product development complies with regulatory standards, including FDA, CE marking, and ISO 13485.
Work closely with quality assurance and regulatory teams to facilitate audits, validations, and certifications.
Performance Monitoring
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product success and user satisfaction.
Provide regular progress reports and market updates to the Executive Vice President and key stakeholders.
Education
Experience
A minimum of 7 years in product ownership or management, ideally in healthcare, radiology, medical devices, or radiation oncology.
Demonstrated success in delivering complex software or medical device products in a regulated environment.
Skills
Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools with a deep understanding of product development lifecycles.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making capabilities.
Strong ability to translate customer needs and market trends into actionable product requirements.
Robust analytical skills with a background in market research and competitive analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in radiotherapy planning systems, treatment workflows, or related healthcare technologies.
Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as DICOM, HL7, and FHIR.
Experience with AI/ML-driven medical solutions.
Agile or Scrum certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner).
