Main duties

The EMEA Compliance Program Manager functions as a trusted advisor to all ETS subsidiaries operating within the region by assisting staff with the development and implementation of a compliance and ethics program in alignment with ETS Global Compliance Program Standards. The incumbent will collaborate with other regional compliance officers to revise global policies, develop global training, develop compliance metrics and reporting dashboards, and implement global systems that facilitate these activities.

 The incumbent will assist the Global Chief Compliance Officer with the compliance risk assessments, gap assessments, management reporting, and the provision of any other data or access needed to facilitate compliance risk oversight for the ETS group of companies.

  • Design and build a compliance and ethics program commensurate with the growth, size, and risk profile of the employing entity.

  • Establish appropriate governance structures to support the compliance function.

  • Conduct compliance risk assessments to identify and prioritize compliance risk management activities.

  • Develop and implement and direct the implementation of policies, procedures, and other internal controls needed to manage the identified risks.

  • Develop and manage a risk-based compliance due diligence process for third/counter-party relationships.

  • Develop mechanisms and processes for monitoring compliance with the Code of Conduct, compliance policies, and procedures.

  • Develop and implement a compliance training program to address compliance risk and support employee and third-party awareness of the Code of Conduct and other compliance policies and procedures.

  • Manage the Ethics Hotline and related investigations.

  • Develop metrics and mechanisms for management and subsidiary reporting.

  • Implement global policies and standards and develop local adaptations or addendums that are necessary to ensure compliance with local law and best practices.

  • Build strong partnerships with key control functions and Senior Leadership.

  • Stay abreast of current compliance requirements and best practices applicable to the employing entity.


Preferred experience

Preferred experience / Education / Job requirements

  • The local equivalent of the US Bachelor’s degree.

  • CCEP, CCEP-I, LPEC or similar risk, compliance, or audit designation or certification.

  • 5-7 years of experience managing multinational compliance programs or processes.

  • Prior experience delivering training and awareness programs.

  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation, privacy compliance experience, or extensive experience in conducting internal investigations are highly desired, but not required.

  • Ability to develop interpersonal relationships and advise and influence at all levels and across business units and functional business areas.

  • Ability to conduct sensitive and confidential investigations and review and implement corrective action.

  • A sense of urgency with an ability to multitask and prioritize.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Data-driven and analytical ability.

  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint skills.

Languages required

  • English fluent (both verbal & written)

This is a full time position based in Amsterdam & flexible hybrid working model.
