The position

Job description

You’re Swan’s VP Marketing. You’ll shape our go-to-market and marketing strategy by owning product marketing, brand & content as well as growth marketing.

We are building the leading tech-driven bank in Europe by unleashing the embedded finance wave. We enable any software company to embed banking features into their product. You’ll educate them on the potential of embedded finance and outline why we are the best to do so.

The ideal person for this job will be extremely empathetic towards customers, opinionated regarding positioning, messaging and brand. Besides, we expect this person to base their decisions on their analytical mindset.

✨ Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:

  • Build and manage a dynamic marketing team of 9 individuals split into three sub-functions (product marketing, general marketing, growth)

  • Drive product marketing with end-to-end responsibility from discovery over positioning to launches

  • Evangelize Swan’s use cases by refining our marketing positioning and product messaging

  • Scale our strong existing word of mouth and brand awareness in our core European countries (France, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, …)

  • Shape our brand identity & communication strategy

  • Define what the future of Swan’s product suite looks like together with our sales-, product- and strategy team

  • Drive lead generation through a performance marketing lense, including campaign and channel optimization


Preferred experience

You’re a great match if:

  • 5+ years experience in a fast-growth B2B scale-up environment (Fintech/ SaaS/ …) – dedicated FinTech experience is a plus

  • Demonstrated results and delivery in leading product marketing teams is mandatory, leadership of other marketing functions is a big plus

  • You thrive on being a strong leader and coach with significant previous leadership experience

  • You are a strategic and opinionated thinker – you like to build a deep product knowledge (using our docs and APIs) to figure out how to highlight our key product differentiators in an impactful way

  • You are a ‘do-er’ – you like to roll up your sleeves and immerse yourself in the details

  • You are a powerful storyteller: written, verbal, and visual

  • You enjoy working in a fast-paced, target-driven and team-oriented environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent team player and fun to work with

  • Excellent working abilities in English (Another European language is a plus)
