The position

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team in Bordeaux, France, as a Traceability Lead in the coffee industry.

The Traceability Lead will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining commercial traceability systems to ensure transparency and accountability in our coffee supply chain. Assisting Operation’s team in their fulfilment of EUDR obligations, as well as supporting sustainability and trade team, the successful candidate will have a strong background in traceability, data management, and a good understanding of coffee sourcing and processing.

  • EU Deforestation Regulation Compliance:

    • Stay abreast of the EU deforestation regulation and sustainability standards, ensuring alignment with legal requirements.

    • Collaborate with Legal and Sustainability teams to interpret and implement regulatory guidelines effectively.

  • Due Diligence Processes:

    • Ensure due diligence processes is properly implemented in collaboration with the Sustainability and Legal teams.

    • Work closely with Trade and Back Office teams to integrate due diligence requirements into procurement and trading processes.

    • Assist back office in their EUDR and traceability commercial process, including data verification, data submission and contract execution.

  • Supply Chain Mapping:

    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive supply chain map in collaboration with IT, Data and sustainability teams.

    • Promote and propose technology solutions for traceability, collaborating with IT to ensure seamless integration.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Collaborate with Sustainability teams to engage with suppliers, farmers, and external partners on sustainable and ethical sourcing practices.

    • Liaise with Trade and Back office for effective communication with suppliers regarding sustainability expectations.

  • Data Management and Reporting

    • Partner with IT and Data teams to ensure effective data management related to supply chain mapping and due diligence processes.

    • Produce reports for cross-functional teams, providing insights for continuous improvement.


Preferred experience

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., supply chain management, agriculture, business).

Proven experience in traceability systems implementation, preferably in the coffee or agriculture industry.

Strong knowledge of coffee supply chain dynamics, from farming to processing.

Familiarity with traceability technologies, data management systems, and industry best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with sustainability and ethical sourcing practices in the coffee industry is a plus.

Bilingual French/English.
