We’re looking for an experienced Datacenter Infrastructure Architect and VMware Expert to take a leading role in designing, optimizing, and managing our global virtualization landscape. You’ll be responsible for ensuring a secure, scalable, and high-performing datacenter infrastructure while driving innovation, automation, and operational excellence.

This is a senior-level position combining deep hands-on technical expertise with architectural vision and vendor/service management responsibilities.

What you’ll do?

• 🌐 Datacenter Infrastructure & Architecture

  • Design, implement, and optimize core infrastructure: compute, storage (SAN/NAS), backup, networking (LAN, DC-LAN), and virtualization.

  • Lead architecture and technology refresh cycles for VMware vSphere and related infrastructure.

  • Ensure scalability, availability, performance, and security across the datacenter stack.

  • Define and enforce standards for compliance, risk management, and data protection.

    🛠 VMware Virtualization & Platform Expertise

  • Architect, configure, and manage VMware platforms including:vSphere, VMware Aria, VSAN, NSX, Horizon, VDI, SRM.

  • Implement advanced features: High Availability (HA), Fault Tolerance (FT), DR planning, resource optimization.

  • Lead automation initiatives using scripting and VMware-native tools to streamline operations.

  • Manage backup and restore strategies aligned with business continuity goals.

    🔧 Advanced Troubleshooting & L3 Support

  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex virtualization and infrastructure issues.

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term stability improvements.

  • Continuously monitor and tune performance across virtual environments.

    📦 Service Provider & Vendor Management

  • Oversee external IT service providers and enforce contractual SLAs.

  • Drive vendor performance reviews, issue resolution, and cost control.

  • Collaborate on business continuity and disaster recovery planning with partners.

    🧩 ITSM, Governance & Process Excellence

  • Support ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management) based on ITIL best practices.

  • Maintain documentation, escalation procedures, and knowledge bases.

  • Identify and lead automation, cost optimization, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor infrastructure usage, capacity, and service efficiency.

• Several years of experience in datacenter architecture, operations, or infrastructure management.

• Expertise in the full datacenter stack, including:Hypervisors (VMware), server platforms, storage (SAN/NAS), networking (LAN, FC), backup, monitoring, OS, log management, scripting.

• In-depth VMware knowledge:vSphere, VSAN, NSX, Aria, Horizon, VDI, SRM, HA/FT/DR configuration, resource planning.

• Service Provider Management:Contract/SLA oversight, vendor evaluation, issue escalation, cost and budget control.

• Soft skills & working style:Strong communication in English, intercultural sensitivity, service management tools proficiency, Agile and classic project methods.
