Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for an Export Control Manager (f/m) to join our French Export Control Department, LOEHF, based in Marignane, France.

You will be part of a team of 15 employees who contribute to ensuring compliance with applicable export control regulations. Working within the France department and larger with the transnational teams in charge of business compliance, you will be involved in all the Group's military activities requiring specific prior authorizations: purchases, sales, repairs, exchanges, loans, transfers and storage of goods and data. The aim of the position is twofold: to provide ongoing support for Airbus Helicopters' activities and to ensure compliance with our legal obligations.

Your challenges:

  • Work on all export control matters handled by the department, as a support for the more sectoral focused team members, including Fr, UK, German, EU and US export regulations;
  • Ensure the conformity of “Americas” offers (screening, compliance & contractual review);
  • Ensure compliance of light helicopters Programs ;
  • Perform all mandatory export control actions: requesting the necessary authorizations from the competent authorities and implementing import and export controls, archiving the various documents in accordance with the regulatory provisions, ensure that procedures are implemented within the business and to verify their application at operational level, etc.

Your profile:

  • Min 3 years of experience working in a multinational environment advising on international trade and export control matters;
  • Business acumen and ethical behaviour in a heavily regulated business environment;
  • Expert knowledge of Fr, EU, German, UK and US military and dual-use export controls;
  • University educated;
  • Strong leadership and communication skills ; sound business judgment; ability to appropriately involve others in consultations and decisions;
  • Excellent writing skills required to write and edit policies and procedures, reports and memorandums;
  • Strong relationship building, networking, interpersonal and communication skills;
  • High degree of initiative, credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality and trust;
  • Ability to quickly earn the respect of senior management in order to be credible and effective in this complex and constantly-developing environment;
  • Languages: Commercially fluent in English and French; German is considered a plus.

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
