Requirements

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to support our growing company across all legal matters, with a strong emphasis on international SaaS contracts.

You will work closely with the Head of Legal & DPO and collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth legal processes across various geographies. An important asset for this role is fluency in Spanish, which will be critical for negotiating contracts with clients in Latin America. Your role will cover a wide range of legal topics, including commercial, corporate, compliance, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Commercial Contracts:

   - Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS contracts, NDAs, and Partnership Agreements, particularly for international clients.

   - Provide legal advice and support during contract negotiations, especially for cross-border matters (FR, US, UK, Japan, Canada, Latin America).

2. Procurement Contracts:

   - Review and negotiate supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with legal standards across the different countries in which we operate.

3. Legal Ops:

   - Assist the Head of Legal in modernizing the legal department through the implementation of CLM) tools, AI-powered solutions, and other innovative legal technologies to improve efficiency and streamline processes.

4. Data Privacy & Compliance:

   - Collaborate with the DPO on innovative topics related to data protection and compliance, and support ongoing initiatives in these areas.

We're looking for an analytical and synthetic mindset, and :

  • 3-5 years of experience as a legal counsel in a fast-paced start-up or scale-up environment, ideally with exposure to international operations.
  • Proven expertise in SaaS contracts and international commercial law.
  • A curious and fast learner who enjoys navigating dynamic, evolving environments and quickly absorbing new information.
  • Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable, alongside French and English fluency, to effectively negotiate and draft with Latin American clients.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a problem-solving mindset and adaptability to different cultural and legal contexts. 

Important: You must possess an employment status: French or Schengen area nationality or a ‘carte de séjour’ that will allow you to work from our Paris office. We are equally open to the visa sponsorship of non-EU candidates as long as they are already in possession of their final diploma / attestation of their final academic results.
