With decades of experience in retail and building marketplaces, in 2019 the Ankorstore founding team knew it was time to create a global wholesale solution – one that swings the balance in favour of independents and restores retail to its natural order !
They’ve created a new ecosystem that harnesses the power of modern technology to create a mutually beneficial community that reinvents the way brands and retailers work together. As a result, wild independents can thrive.
The team
Logistics is at the heart of Ankorstore's unique value proposition. Logistics and its daily execution is critical and often not well mastered enough by both retailers and brands. Independent retailers do not enjoy convenience and good services linked to supply Chain/logistics (speed, reliability of deliveries, restocking, inventory management,...) whilst Brands report juggling various operational activities and fail at optimizing costs. This leaves space for a state of the art Logistics proposition carried by Ankorstore to solve this problem, bring services & economy of scales to this ecosystem, set new standards within the B2B industry whilst generating operational margin for Ankorstore.
From an operational standpoint,we aim at helping brands ship their orders seamlessly by partnering with the most relevant logistics partners. We help retailers with outstanding delivery experience, fast and reliable resolution experience when issue occurs and smart inventory management services.
This is a unique opportunity to have a meaningful impact on our customers and to get a 360 view of the e-commerce BtoB supply chain (transportation, fulfilment, cross-border shipping).
Before summer 2022, the products were all stored and prepared at the brand’s premises. In order to reach new delivery service levels while decreasing our costs, we just rolled out our Fulfilment offer, where Ankorstore stores products and prepares orders on behalf of the brand. Our first Fulfilment Centre opened beginning of July 2022, and is currently ramping as we are onboarding new brands.
Main responsibilities
Working under the supervision of the Fulfilment manager, responsibilities include:
Manage the Inventory Manager’s team: you will manage a team of 3-5 inventory managers, each of them dealing with a brand portfolio. You will define their targets, monitor their performance, monitor their bandwidth and workload.
Own Inventory management key metrics: you will report on your team’s key metrics (such as brands’ use rate of Fulfilment, time to onboard brands, etc…) within the different Logistics routines (weekly perf reviews, etc…)
Inventory Management process improvement: working closely with the Fulfilment Process Owner, you will continuously define the new standards for the Inventory Management team, defining and implementing more robust processes as well as raising product improvement needs, follow their implementation and adoption as well as impact on key output metrics.
Customer success & upsell: you will ensure that brands in Fulfilment maximise their usage of the service, and help the team identify upsell opportunities that can be pushed to the sales team. You will keep close synchronization with the sales team to make sure goals are aligned and both teams work in the same direction.
Managing your own portfolio of top tier brands:
Brands onboarding: Once brands signed their Fulfilment contract with the commercial team, take over to roll out operationally the Fulfilment service with the Brands, and by helping them implement the new processes (using Fulfilment tools in their back office, managing Fulfilment Centre replenishments,...). To do so you will master all logistic software optimization tools used within AKS (OMS, TMS, WMS)
Brands daily customer support to Fulfilment: you will be managing a portfolio of brands, for which you will be the key contact for all Fulfilment-related topics, in addition to the regular account manager of the brand. On top of that you act as a relay of the customer service during peak seasons
Brands performance monitoring: for your brands, manage their performance in Fulfilment, by monitoring their inventory levels, making sure they make the most of the Fulfilment service.
Requirements
5+ Years of operational experience in Logistics / Supply Chain / Inventory management / Supply or Demand Planning and/or Customer experience,
Strong expertise in Order fulfilment,
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Proven stakeholder management capabilities,
Demonstrated ability to work in a team,
Customer-centric mindset & Customer experience judgement,
Proven analytical thinking with a natural tendency to use data in decision-making and prioritisation,
You are fluent in French and English.
Other skills that would add value:
Expertise in fulfilment software management (OMS, TMS, WMS)
Knowledge of SQL and coding basics
