Apiday is a comprehensive sustainability data platform designed to help companies worldwide effectively manage their ESG performance. Following a new round of fundraising, the company is entering a phase of hyper growth and is looking for a talented Sustainable Finance Expert to join its ESG team and deepen its overall technical expertise on a broad range of topics.

You will play an instrumental role in both supporting our large investor clients across their various advisory needs and make Apiday the most advanced sustainability software in the industry, working directly with our Head of ESG.

It is an opportunity to make a deep impact on the sustainable finance industry by bringing to hundreds of investment firms a tool that supports them across all their needs, from regulatory compliance (SFDR, EU Taxonomy) to action plans for all their portfolio companies.

You will be in charge of:

• Expertise: Bring technical advice to our customers, offering insights and recommendations to clients on sustainable finance strategies, compliance with regulatory frameworks, optimization of their reporting campaigns, etc.

• Product: Collaborate with internal teams to enhance the platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our clients and remains at the forefront of sustainable finance innovation.

• Training: Educate all internal Apiday teams on sustainable finance-related topics and help them understand implications for their scope of work

• Watch: Ensure a regulatory watch to stay abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory developments in the field of sustainable finance.

• Management: Manage a small team of junior experts, give them guidance, review their work and provide constructive feedback.

• You have at least 5 years of experience in the sustainable finance department of an established consulting or auditing firm, dealing with private equity clients and asset managers.

• You have a deep understanding of key sustainable finance regulations (EU Taxonomy, SFDR, etc.) and their disclosure requirements, combined to practical experience in producing associated deliverables.

• You know the specificities of the financial ecosystem well and in particular the universe of investment firms, across different asset classes, both from an LP and a GP perspective.

• You can draw on advanced technical knowledge to define ad-hoc methodologies for key customers (e.g. define a tailored roadmap to become Article 9 fund, revamp a fund’s sustainable investment strategy, etc).

• You master the various calculation methodologies related to both SFDR and EU Taxonomy (PAI indicators, EU Taxonomy indicators, key company financial metrics, etc).

• You see yourself not just as a sustainable finance expert, but as a key partner in the long term growth and success of Apiday.

• You have an entrepreneurial mindset, are straight to the point and looking for a dynamic environment where things move fast.

• You have strong analytical and operational skills, intellectual rigor, as well as excellent written communication skills in English - ideally in French too.
