Your Role:

As an Engineering Manager (EM) for the Incubator Squad, you will lead a team of 7 Frontend (FE), Backend (BE), and Fullstack (FS) developers while working closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Business stakeholders to define and iterate on early-stage products.

You will report directly to the VP of Engineering (VPE) and collaborate closely with the CTO and Product Leadership to ensure alignment with AppTweak’s long-term vision.

Your mission? Foster a culture of innovation, ensure technical excellence, and help the team bring new ideas to life quickly while maintaining scalability and quality.

Your Responsibilities:

👥 People Management & Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional team of approx. 7 engineers (FE, BE, FS).

• Foster a collaborative and high-performing squad culture.

• Provide guidance on technical challenges and career growth.

• Ensure team well-being, engagement, and retention.

🚀 Technical & Product Strategy

• Align tech decisions with business goals, balancing speed and scalability.

• Ensure strong architecture and code quality while enabling rapid experimentation.

• Collaborate with the CTO and Product Leadership to ensure alignment with the overall product strategy.

🔍 Execution & Delivery

• Oversee squad planning, roadmap execution, and delivery of MVPs.

• Ensure smooth transitions from incubated projects to long-term squads.

• Optimize engineering processes to enhance speed and efficiency.

🤝 Cross-Squad & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with VP Engineering, CTO, and Product Leadership to align squad goals with company priorities.

• Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across squads.

• Advocate for a fail-fast, learn-fast mindset in early-stage projects.

Requirements:

Must-have: 

• You have a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, related field or equivalent in experience.

• You have 3+ years of experience in engineering management or technical leadership.

• Strong technical background in either Frontend, Backend, or Fullstack development (React,Ruby (on rails).

• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering software products.

• Experience in early-stage product development, startups, or innovation teams is a big plus!
