The position

Job description

We are looking for our future LEAD Mechanical to join the Data Centers Department.

As part of this role, you will frequently communicate in English; therefore, a good level of both written and spoken English is required.

Your Role

You will be responsible for your assignments while also being recognized by the team as an Expert in your field.

 

Your Responsibilities

As part of the independent management of the projects assigned to you, you will:

  • Design all HVAC installations for every phase of the project, define the system architectures that meet the client’s needs and project typology, size the installations, perform the necessary calculations, and describe the selected solutions.
  • Organize and control the quality of the production of plans and schematics related to your specialty within your projects.
  • Monitor the execution of works in collaboration with the designated companies and clients, ensuring a smooth handover of installations and overseeing final inspections (OPR).
  • Conduct technical audits when required.

Your Skills and Expertise Will Enable You To

  • Ensure the technical and contractual compliance of HVAC operations and intervene when necessary.
  • Contribute to defining project deliverables for each phase in accordance with operational budgets and deadlines.
  • Assist in the validation of technical choices and concepts proposed by project managers.
  • Participate in the review and quality control of project documentation before distribution.
  • Support operational tracking by identifying the necessary resources based on project timelines (graphic resources, reinforcements if needed, etc.) and allocated budgets.
  • Provide regular reporting to the department manager regarding your area of expertise.
  • Participate in and contribute to business meetings, both internally and externally, to advocate for the department's and the company’s interests.

Preferred experience

If you are an Engineer or hold a Master’s degree (BAC+5) in HVAC engineering, with at least 10 years of experience in a company or engineering firm working on complex projects such as Data Centers or industrial facilities, then we are interested in your profile!

Your passion for technical expertise, your advisory skills, as well as your team spirit, rigor, and adaptability, will be key assets for success in this role.

Fluency in written and spoken English is required.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with 3D navigation in REVIT
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with thermal and life cycle assessment (LCA) software

Regulatory Knowledge:

  • Understanding of laws, standards, and regulations related to the HVAC specialty
