The position

Job description

At Ask for the Moon, we operate at the nexus of a dynamic tech startup and substantial, intricate industrial groups. Our mission is to blend these realms seamlessly, and your role is central to this process.

We are on the hunt for a Fullstack developer to help us build our product. You are the ideal candidate if you thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment and are passionate about building scalable, high-quality, and high-performance web applications. Reporting to Pierre Nicoletti (Lead fullstack developer), you will be involved in all stages of the application development lifecycle: from concept generation through to deployment, going through software architecture & (last but not least) quality & performance review.

Tech team members do a better job when familiar with the real use cases of their work. You will be encouraged to interact with end users of the product and/or monitor their usage.

You will come in our offices in Paris Rébublique three days a week. You can work remotely up to two days per week.


Preferred experience

  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Full Stack Developer

  • Proficient in both front-end and back-end JavaScript frameworks, especially React for the frontend, Node.js, Express.js for the backend, and Typescript.

  • Proven experience in designing and building complex features end-to-end: from defining architecture and identifying critical paths, to selecting appropriate tools and delivering robust, scalable solutions.

  • Proficient with RESTful API design, development and maintenance.

  • Proficient with code versioning tools (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • Talent to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

  • Experienced in ensuring security and data protection by design.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and team spirit mindset.

  • Fluent in French and English, written and spoken.


Recruitment process

  • 30min intro call with the Lead Developer : do we fit ?

  • Technical test (asynchronous)

  • 60min+ technical test delivery with team (IRL)

  • Interviews with CEO & other key people.
