Position Overview:
As part of our continuous growth and commitment to innovation, we are seeking a hands-on and experienced Microfluidics Engineer to strenghten our dynaminc and enthusiastic Innovation team. You will be responsible for the development of cutting-edge microfluidic solutions for critical steps in cell therapies. You will design, develop and implement microfluidic modules from scratch, leveraging your expertise in fluid mechanics and microfluidic systems, that enable advancements in therapeutic technologies, bringing innovative ideas to life.
Main Responsibilities:
Develop innovative microfluidic solutions for key processes in cell therapies, such as sensor implementation for real-time process analysis, integrated quality control chip, and the integration of next-generation technologies.
Lead the design, prototyping, and implementation of microfluidic modules and systems from the ground up, including molding, lithography, machining, 3D printing, assembling, coating, and other fabrication processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional hardware and software teams, to effectively integrate microfluidic systems into the Lakhesys Benchtop Cell Factory™.
Conduct simulations on test benches and testing under real-world conditions with biological tests, ensuring continuous improvements and validation to refine prototyping.
Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, including specifications, testing protocols, and detailed technical reports.
Technical skills:
PhD degree in Microfluidics, Fluid Mechanics or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the design, fabrication and implementation of microfluidic systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize prototypes for functionality, performance, and scalability.
Excellent communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams and presenting complex technical information clearly.
Proficient in English
