Job description

  

As IT Project Manager-Software Solutions, you will approach all the Customer Center South West Europe (France, Spain, Portugal, Maghreb) customers, both in General and Motor Vehicle Industry. To execute projects, define solutions and support quotation process for high quality software projects. These quotes include very high technical proposals and effort estimations in cooperation with our software development team. You will also ensure customer satisfaction, high profitability and orders received through intelligent concepts of our software solutions and seamless project management until its roll out at our customers. Moreover, you will drive our software service business by promoting software-service products, which secure customer satisfaction and success and a strong business growth. 


Your key responsibilities
•    Project Planning and Management
o    Define project scope, goals, and deliverables of our software solutions for production and service.
o    Define, together with our Application Center in Germany and our product company, highly technical solutions to improve productivity at our customers.
o    You coordinate cost and effort-estimations with our R&D team and consult our local sales teams in their pricing processes.
o    Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
o    Monitor and track project progress, adjusting plans as necessary.
o    Support BDM SWE solutions on selling service contracts (including renewal) and in defining highly technical individual service concepts and sales activities as well as software solution concepts
o    Align, together with BDM SWE Solutions, the service master trainee content to train Software-field technicians at the local organizations
•    Team Coordination and Leadership
o    Lead, within the projects frame, project teams, including sales, service, and technical staff.
o    Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members.
o    Provide guidance, support, and motivation to team members.
 •    Stakeholder Management
o    Engage with clients to understand their requirements and expectations, including high technical level contacts at our customers.
o    Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
o    Manage stakeholder expectations and address any concerns or issues.
•    Risk Management
o    Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
o    Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
o    Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
•    Budget and Resource Management
o    Develop and manage project budgets.
o    Allocate resources effectively to ensure project success.
o    Monitor project expenditures and ensure financial accountability.
•    Quality Assurance
o    Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
o    Implement and oversee quality control processes.
o    Conduct regular project reviews and audits.
•    Reporting and Documentation
o    Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
o    Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
o    Ensure all project records are accurate and up-to-date.
•    Continuous Improvement
o    Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
o    Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in IT project management.
o    Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project team.
o    You actively participate in the strategy, sales and growth plan of the products and solutions you have in charge.

Profile description:

What we expect of you?
•    You have worked for 5+ years in the industrial sector focusing on processes, IT and networking installations or you have diversified Engineering experience such as Proposal Manager, Project Manager or in Assembly Automation - you have a university degree in Business Administration or Engineering or a similar education
•    You have expertise in selling Software as a Service and/or good knowledge of assembly processes and automation - Experience in the machine tool business or IT companies would be a plus
•    You have the ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and specifications in written, mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables plus a high technical problem-solving competence
•    An organized and persistent way of working is natural to you and you are able to conduct various businesses in parallel
•    You are energy-driven, a motivator with curiosity towards new ideas and new ways 
•    You are an open-minded person and experienced in working with different cultures and a global team player
•    Knowledge in MS Office, SAP, databases and networks as well as in interfaces and industrial communication standards is required
•    You are open to frequent travel (40%) to the customers of the customer center
•    Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills in fluent English, as well as Spanish or French, complete your profile.
