Your work environment:

The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. The headquarters gathers approximately 1000 employees and is distinguished by its strong international culture (45 nationalities), which makes it a rich and stimulating place to work. 

The Group Legal team is a small team made up of highly qualified lawyers many of whom have international backgrounds. The Group General Counsel heads the team and is a member of the AXA Executive Committee and the AXA SA Board. This role is based in Paris.

Core Activities of the role:

  • Manage the activities of the Head of Corporate Finance & Investment and his team and of the Chief of Staff to the Group General Counsel including
    • Handle sensitive and confidential information, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times. Exercise discretion and professionalism in all matters, respecting privacy and the trust placed in you.
    • Manage agendas arranging meetings, calls and events, as required
    • Manage budget and engagement of external legal firms
    • Arrange all travel in line with AXA Group policies including booking flights, managing expenses, and preparing necessary travel documents
    • Responsible for managing relationships with others EAs and teams, facilitating effective communication and maintaining positive working relationships
    • Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, phone calls, memos and messages. Draft, proof-read, and edit correspondence, ensuring accuracy and professionalism in all interactions
    • Manage processes incl. approvals in tools like Saturne, Concur, Pleiades, Silva, Coupa and complete these internal tools on behalf of your managers
    • Manage IT needs o Prepare PowerPoint presentations and word documents
    • Perform multifaceted general office support (time-off, purchases, expense accounts, …)
    • Prepare the onboarding / offboarding of the team (Learning / ED, IT) + ABS extensions, Contractors o Organize Team Events & Catering
    • Help organize committees and team meetings

Preferred experience

Technical and Professional Skills :

  • Proficiency in MS Pack Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook o Strong ability to be concise and clear in note writing
  • Ability to analyze information and understand information as it relates to ongoing work/team projects
  • Strong organizational and planning skills o Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Fluent French and English (written and oral)

Soft Skills and Competencies :

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, effective verbal, listening and written communication skills
  • Highly effective organizational and decision-making skills
