Within the Group, you will join the Group Underwriting Office department.

Within this Department, you will be part of the team Group Ceded Re.

The Group Ceded Reinsurance department has the following missions:

·       Define the AXA Group's reinsurance strategy,

·       Analyze the risks of the hedged portfolios,

·       Protect the balance sheet of Group entities,

·       Secure the insurance operations of the Group's subsidiaries,

·       Implement solutions that optimize the Group's internal capacities and risk transfers on external markets.

 

Your job and daily missions:

The Client Executive – Capital Management Reinsurance is responsible for the placement and monitoring of the internal structured reinsurance treaties of the AXA entities within his/her scope. He/she is the main point of contact for the structuring and implementation of these treaties, both in terms of renewing of the existing structures but also putting in place new structures to meet the objectives of the entity.  This involves all exchanges with these entities, but also internally within Group Ceded Reinsurance (Actuarial, Legal, Claims, AXA SA Risk Management and Finance/Accounting, etc,) within the Group (Group Finance and Capital Optimization, Group Legal, Group Risk Management) and externally with brokers.

 

Dimensions:

The impact of the treaties is always important at the entity level, but also at the Group level – each deal is bespoke to the objectives of the entity.

Core activities: 

  • Lead the relationship with the entities as they engage with Group Finance and Group Ceded Reinsurance in the identification and structuring of appropriate reinsurance structures.
  • Assist in the rollout and management of the structured reinsurance activity, and the prioritization of the various structures requested by the entities.
  • Manage each treaty as a project, identifying the various stages of the project and their timing, the various tollgates in terms of both local and AXA SA Governance. Secure stakeholders buy-in, ensure that the project is progressing according to the project plan. Propose and carry out mitigation actions if needed.
  • Participate in discussions with the brokers (along with the Actuarial and Risk Management teams) regarding treaty pricing.
  • Develop the treaty contractual documents.
  • Contribute to global relationships with brokers with whom the AXA Group works.
  • Monitor the performance of existing treaties by appropriately engaging with AXA SA Finance function.

  • Master’s degree in Insurance, Actuarial, Finance or Legal
  • At least 5 years of experience in insurance or reinsurance – in actuarial or risk management
