Job Purpose

The Mains objective of the investment specialist team is to represent investment teams in client-facing activities, develop and promote investment products, and provide high-quality client service. For this role there is a high focus on Green, Social and Sustainability bond strategies.

Key roles and responsibilities

Business development

• Represent investment teams in all types of clients facing, marketing and communication initiatives.
• Gather and organize information on the firm, the strategies, processes, products, and investments, for the purpose of presenting to clients and prospects
• Work with the Sales and RFP teams to structure high-quality answers to prospect requests
• Design and structure key messages and adapt messages for product materials

Attend prospect pitches

• Develop our fixed income offering for clients
• Attend regular investment meetings to become an expert in your strategy
• Use this knowledge to be a central point of reference, both internally and externally
• Develop and promote a range of products and solutions to respond to future investor demand

Responsible Investment expertise

• Have a strong interest and knowledge in Responsible Investment, with preference for knowledge of the Green, Social, and Sustainable bond market
• Undertake detailed fund analysis on Responsible Investment topics for our clients
• Create engaging content based on key Sustainability themes for clients and prospects

A high quality of client service

• Organise timely and accurate responses to all types of client or prospect queries
• Deliver high quality client analysis
• Present topics of expertise and standard updates to clients

Candidate Profile

Education/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Any other qualifications related to the Asset Management industry would be a plus.

Experience

• A strong understanding of investment concepts and strategies, particularly in Fixed Income and/or Responsible investment
• Proven client facing experience dealing directly with the retail, wholesale and institutional segments. supported by excellent communication skills. Capacity to fuel solutions design to answer client needs.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong Fixed Income market and strategy knowledge
• Responsible Investment knowledge, with a focus on Green, Social and Sustainability bonds
• Perfect command of French and English (written and verbal). 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, is required.
• Tableau/VBA/Python/other coding skills are preferred
