As a future Infrastructure Associate, you will report to the Global Head of Infrastructure, and you will be part of the AXA IM PRIME Business Unit.

 The Infra Associate will be able to support all AXA IM Prime activites focusing on deal execution and reporting under the responsibility of a VP / Director.

 Your role and responsibilities will include:

 Deal execution / Data collection

• Contribution to due diligence of asset managers alongside an associate/VP or more senior individual with a view to:
  • Drafting committee papers and making a recommendation to AXA IM Prime and other relevant investment committees.
  • Closing of the investment working closely with AXA IM Prime legal/tax and structuring team to efficiently wrap investment opportunities. This will include subscription documentation including side letters.
  • Reviewing co-investment opportunities proposed by third-party asset managers. This could include reviewing financial models, overlooking due diligence reports (incl. technical, legal, financial, market, insurance…) and possibly contribute to selection of our own advisors incl. contribute to scope of work definition, offers comparison.
  • Understanding regulatory, tax, legal components of the investments applicable to the structure chosen liaising with the relevant departments.
•       Possible involvement in secondary trades (LP and GP led). This could involve contributing to analysis of underlying portfolio companies of GPs, data collection for the benefit of comp analysis, performing sensitivities of those portfolios, running and contribution to improvement of the secondaries model. Goal is to help underwrite secondaries transactions and contribute to making recommendation at IC.

Reporting

• Contribution to the infrastructure equity portfolio management in coordination with AXA IM Prime Ops team. This will include:
  • Cash flow forecasting exercise.
  • Performing control over reporting tool (Efront) to ensure accuracy of data reported and monitor portfolio and asset performance.
  • Monitoring of investments made including performance and portfolio construction monitoring alongside relationship managers in the infra team.
  • Contribute to producing regular reporting documents (at least on quarterly basis) using AXA IM Prime reporting tool and asset managers reporting tool. Such reports will be shared with AXA IM Prime clients.
  • Feed AXA IM Prime CRM tool to ensure real time information flow.

Transversal activities

• Contribute to the fund-raising effort alongside AXA IM Prime sales team through pitches preparation, performing research, gather comparable data and statistics.
• Contribution to the fundamental analysis of the infrastructure market segments and drivers and sharing outcome of findings with rest of the team.
• Understanding ESG impact of investments and fit with AXA IM Prime targets in relation thereto will form part of the analysis. Possible involvement in specific ESG-related missions (including carbon footprinting).

 Education/Qualifications 

• Master’s degree in engineering (with applied finance) or Economics degree
• Fluency in written and spoken English; French a plus

Experience/Skills

At least 3 - 5 years of experience in structuring and/or investing in infrastructure assets and/or infrastructure assets financing

• Successful experience ideally acquired from either private practice or in-house
• Good knowledge of asset management environment is a plus
• Good knowledge of insurance companies’ investment constraints is a plus
