Within AXA, you will join the Group Controlling department, which is responsible for performance monitoring within the Group (FP&A activities). Its objective is to coordinate a regular dialogue with the entities in order to deliver information on the financial, operational and strategic performance of the entities to the AXA Group Management Committee (ExCom).

Group Controlling consists of 4 Regional Heads (or Head of Poles) based in Paris, under the supervision of the Head of Group Controlling. Each Head of Pole works with a team of Senior Analysts and Analysts.

Within this Department, you will be part of the Asian Markets team, which includes AXA’s activities in Japan, Hong-Kong and China. The team covers transversal topics such L&S P&L and Expenses.

Group Controlling works in close collaboration with local top Management (CEOs, CFOs, Heads of Controlling) and Group central functions (Corporate Finance, Accounting, Strategy, Risk Management, Investor Relations etc.).

 

Your job and daily missions:

GPM is looking for an intern to join one of the geographic areas.

The main mission of the GPM intern is to assist the relevant Associate in monitoring the Entities. Therefore, the GPM intern is expected to:

  • Support the team in preparing monthly analysis covering financial and non-financial performance indicators;
  • Support the team in providing management presentations and regular update on business performance and budget execution;
  • Participate to forecasting, financial planning and budgeting processes, providing right figures and analysis;
  • With the support of the team, prepare benchmarking analysis with external competitors;
  • With the support of the team, prepare ad hoc analysis on business / financial topics.

Education: Business or Engineering school or master’s in finance or strategy

Expected skills to successfully achieve the internship:

  • Good understanding of finance and reporting principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to organise, analyse and summarise in a clear way
  • Fluent in English
