Within the Group, you will join the GUO Claims department

Within this Department, you will be part of the GUO P&C Claims team. The GUO Claims department at AXA aims to lead in claims management and support business growth. Its missions include contributing to profitability and growth through expense reduction, customer experience improvement, and leveraging data and AI potential. The department also focuses on managing key risks associated with claims.

 

Your job and daily missions:

The Senior P&C Claims Expert will report to the GUO P&C Head of Claims and will work directly and closely with the other P&C claim’s experts. They will focus on Commercial Lines activity. This person:

  • Represents GUO claims by being a major and key contributor to the Claims Expert Network & Community and Cyber Center of Expertise in particular in terms of driving the activity of both groups.
    • Focus on innovation linked to commercial lines and transversal initiatives and projects aiming at improving organization, processes, handling and reserving policy
  • Provides an expert opinion on large and sensitive claims and on cases escalated to AXA P&C GUO Claims. Also leads for GUO P&C Claims department the Large & sensitive Claims FY report as well as the Escalation process.
  • Participates to GUO technical reviews of entities: 
    • Either (i) rapid analysis to provide an opinion on a specific issue in response to a trigger,(ii) comprehensive review to get deep understanding of entity technical situation or (iii) to assess the overall business quality.
    • As senior claims expert, by being the key contributor for Claims when it comes to issue recommendations and ensure their regular and appropriate follow-up in close relationship with Entities.
  • Participates in the development and maintenance of the P&C Claims Group rules (standards, SII policies  and guidelines), with a particular focus on Commercial Lines activities (but not restricted to):
    • Ensures that standards adhere to the principles of simplicity and empowerment within boundaries and are reviewed annually.
    • Revises and adjusts technical guidelines to support the entities in improving their technical capabilities.
    • Collaborates with other group functions i.e., Markets and entities in the development and review/sign-off of standards and guidelines.

Main competencies and experiences required for this role 

Technical skills:

  • Strong knowledge of P&C and namely claim’s commercial lines processes and related value chain with a minimum of 10 years of specialized experience.
  • Ability to deep dive multi-line of business (e.g.: Fleet, Property, Casualty, …) and expert knowledge in claims processes (eg.: Fraud, Large and litigated, Recoveries,…)
  • Project and change management advanced skills in an international environment are required and preference will be given to candidates with experience in multiple countries, demonstrating a broad understanding of international best practices and regulatory frameworks. 

Soft skills:

  • Highly skilled in fostering a climate of trust and open dialogue, adept at negotiating and challenging in an international context, while also demonstrating a strong capacity for active listening to diverse opinions. Proven ability to achieve technical excellence implementation objectives with a pragmatic approach.
  • Capable of effectively managing exposure to Group entities and senior stakeholders, with exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills to simplify and clarify complex issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to organize and drive workshop sessions and to transfer knowledge and skills.
  • Proficiency in professional English, with fluency in French and Spanish considered a significant asset for communication with relevant entities.
