Job description

Back Market is the world’s leading refurbished electronics marketplace with a team of 650 people, powering operations in 18 countries (and counting!).

Named one of the World's Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company in 2019 and again in 2021, our mission is simple: empowering people to consume tech sustainably by offering folks a high quality, accessible, and more eco-friendly alternative to buying new electronics. Why? Refurbished tech helps lower our collective environmental impact. We have indeed contributed to avoid the production of more than 1,000,000 tons of CO2e worldwide since our launch in 2014.

Be part of an exciting and growing international adventure that will change the way the world consumes tech.

We are hiring a seasoned Product Manager with growth and marketing technology experience to lead product development for a squad of talented engineers who manage SEO tech assets, product info feeds for SEA & Perf marketing, user tracking data, and marketing campaign data. You’ll be at the cornerstone of Engineering, Marketing & Data, challenging the status quo and fostering innovation within domains such as SEO, SEA, Media tracking, and Campaign performance analysis.

The Back Market product scope is wide so it’s an opportunity to shape a better future and significantly impact millions of people while helping the world make more of what we already have!

YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT): 🏅

  • You lead your squad’s vision by gathering inputs and insights, and synthesizing them into a compelling Acquisition strategy and narrative to take Media & Perf Marketing, SEO, Marketing Data & Tracking, and Engineering on a journey with you.
  • You are also responsible for defining your Northstar metric and KPIs: driving the team toward concrete goals that impact marketing acquisition and growth metrics.
  • You build strong roadmaps with the right balance of long-term strategic initiatives and more short-term tactical bets that embody the company’s strategy and the team’s growth-hacking mindset
  • You are the point of contact and go-to expert in the company for multiple Marketing teams in SEO, Perf Marketing & Media and to evangelize Acquisition to a broad audience including executives
  • You partner up day-to-day with your Engineering Manager to adjust priorities as required.
  • You communicate clearly and regularly the risks and impact of your roadmap; you anticipate problems and dependencies to ensure smooth delivery.
  • You explore potential leverage points and foster prospective innovations in your scope
  • You lead strategic transversal initiatives smoothly from scratch, either on a day-to-day basis through your scope or through a dedicated time-boxed taskforce.
  • YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF: ⭐

  • You are fluent in English
  • You have proven experience as a Product Manager in the Martech world. You know what makes a great Product Manager: you master strategy, discovery, delivery, organization, and stakeholder management.
  • You have product management experience in an agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and you can shape product discovery and delivery according to agile principles.
  • You have a growth hacking mindset to experiment fast and iterate
  • You know how Google Ads campaigns, Google Merchant Center, and other acquisition channels (Socials, Affiliates…) campaigns work
  • You can provide a clear vision of how product and tech can be leveraged to optimize marketing for both organic and paid traffic (e.g., automation of ads creation, feed optimization, automated internal linking).
  • You are driven by impact, fluent with data, leverage data to build your vision and have a proven track record of measuring your impact. Knowledge of tracking and incremental analytics methods for marketing is a plus.
  • You demonstrate strong soft skills in leadership, negotiation, and communication that are highly regarded by your stakeholders who feel heard and engaged in your vision and operational activities. You have experience with facilitating difficult trade-offs and rallying people around a common plan
  • You are a brilliant communicator, your peers define you as a facilitator and leader. You have strong interpersonal skills that will allow you to build strong relationships with strategic stakeholders and management comfortably
  • You have a problem-solver attitude and are comfortable navigating ambiguous situations with data and putting the user at the center
  • RECRUITMENT PROCESS: 📅

  • Interview with our Talent Acquisition Team
  • Product interview with live case study
  • Interview with Business & Technical stakeholders
  • Back Market Value Interview
