Your mission

In BlaBlaCar, the Bus Marketplace brings together licensed bus companies from different regions like Brazil, Ukraine, and Poland. We assist these carriers in crafting attractive travel options for all types of travelers. Our goal is to spearhead the shift from traditional offline booking to online convenience by pooling together diverse bus services and offering them on our platform. By catering to a wider array of passenger preferences, we aim to secure a larger share of the travel market and establish ourselves as the preferred app for travelers.

As the Product Manager for the Bus Aggregation Office team at BlaBlaCar, you will be instrumental in advancing the technological capabilities of our Global Distribution System (GDS) platform. You will lead the development and enhancement of features and services that facilitate transactional ticket sales. This includes creating and refining services such as ticket booking, cancellation, exchanges, ticket printing, and managing the GDS back office.

Your responsibilities

  • Define & communicate the Product & Engineering roadmap to all stakeholders
  • Define the associated backlog and roadmap, prioritizing the highest-impact projects 
  • Lead the prioritization, specification, and delivery follow-up of the Bus Aggregation Office team
  • Formalize and generate alignment on major decisions related to the Bus Aggregation Office scope
  • Deploy, follow up, and communicate about its execution among different teams
  • Be the “go-to” product person on all Bus Aggregation Office topics
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: work closely with engineering, and business teams to drive product development from concept to launch. Foster a collaborative environment and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: utilize data analytics, user feedback, and market insights to make informed product decisions.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement robust testing and monitoring processes to ensure the quality and reliability of products & services in your scope. Collaborate with engineering teams to address any issues or bugs promptly.
  • Stakeholder Communication: communicate product vision, roadmap updates, and key milestones to internal stakeholders and executive leadership. Solicit feedback and actively engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment and support.
  • Your qualifications

  • 4+ years of product management experience: demonstrated track record of at least six years in product management roles, with a focus on driving product development and strategy.
  • 3+ years of experience managing backend or B2B product & services
  • Strong analytical skills: proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets. Strong analytical skills are crucial for interpreting data and making data-driven decisions to improve product performance and user experiences.
  • Prior experience collaborating with remote & international teams is a must, particularly those based in Eastern Europe.
  • You should be able and comfortable traveling to the headquarters in Paris, France on a monthly to quarterly basis to meet with the rest of the team.
  • English language proficiency is a must
  • Ukrainian language proficiency is a strong plus.
