Andrew co-founded Smartmockups in 2016, and three years later, the small Liberec-based startup was acquired by Canva. Since then, Andrew has been leading the whole Canva CZ team, primarily focusing on Engineering teams. Andrew enjoys fine coffee, various sports, and work-cations in warm countries.
Dave joined the team in March 2023 as a second Product Manager. He cooperates closely with the Product Designer and the Mockup Experience engineering team. His goal is clear - make our products as successful as possible. When he doesn't work, he likes to spend his free time with his family or doing sports.
Veru has been in charge of the VIBE here since 2022. You read correctly: her role at Canva is to create the best atmosphere for Canvanauts (Canva employees). She oversees everything from office design elements and operations to event organizing. Veru also enjoys time with her family, friends, and cat Panther, but the best recharge for her is time in the gym or yoga.
Ondra joined the team in July 2022 as a QA engineer. He works closely with several Engineering teams and collaborates with others in the QA specialty across Canva. His goal is clear - to make sure our product is the best it can be and to foster a team-wide quality mindset. When he's not working, Ondra enjoys spending time with his family, cooking tasty meals, going on hiking trips and playing sports.

In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, we manage the mockup generator within Canva. This online mockup tool features a stellar mockup library and intuitive design tools and is available from the Canva homepage and within the Canva editor. Mockups allow anyone to showcase their designs on real-world products.
