Reports to : Creative Director

Position: Internship - 6 months (with the possibility of extension)

Location: Brussels

Your role : Managing our digital presence

The Social Media Intern is responsible for curating and creating engaging content across Cartoonbase’s social media channels. This role involves conceptualizing creative posts, scheduling content, monitoring engagement, and providing insights to refine our digital strategy. The intern will work closely with the Creative Director to ensure our online narrative reflects our brand values of curiosity, excellence, humour, and care.

We’re looking for someone who questions the status quo, breaks the mold, thinks outside the box, and isn’t afraid to push boundaries and experiment boldly.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Content creation and curation – develop original, creative content for LinkedIn and Instagram that resonates with our audience.

  • Community engagement – monitor social interactions, respond to inquiries, and foster a vibrant online community.

  • Strategy support – assist in refining social media tactics in line with broader digital and brand strategies.

  • Reporting – track performance metrics using Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, and platform insights, and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Familiarity with scheduling and analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics)

  • Curiosity for new digital tools and a willingness to bring new ideas to the table

Education and Experience:

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field

  • Previous experience (internship or projects) in social media or digital content is a plus

  • A strong creative portfolio and passion for social media are key

Working environment

The Social Media Intern will be an integral part of the marketing team, working hand-in-hand with creative departments to ensure a coherent and engaging social media presence.
This role reports directly to the Creative Director and offers a unique opportunity to learn from some of the most innovative creative profiles at Cartoonbase. The position is based in Brussels.
