The position

Job description

We are looking for a results-driven Data Quality Manager to lead enterprise-wide efforts in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability of data across business systems. You will define and enforce data quality standards, lead data profiling and cleansing initiatives, and work closely with business and technical stakeholders to embed data quality into day-to-day operations and long-term strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a data quality strategy, framework, and governance model in collaboration with business and IT leaders.
  • Define and monitor data quality metrics (accuracy, completeness, consistency, validity, timeliness, uniqueness).
  • Lead data profiling, validation, and cleansing efforts across multiple systems and domains.
  • Establish data quality rules, standards, and issue resolution processes.
  • Manage the data quality lifecycle, including issue identification, root cause analysis, remediation, and prevention.
  • Partner with data stewards, data owners, and other stakeholders to improve data quality across the enterprise.
  • Implement and manage data quality tools and platforms (e.g., Informatica DQ, Talend, IBM InfoSphere, Ataccama).
  • Collaborate with teams on data migration, integration, and analytics projects to ensure high-quality data flows.
  • Provide regular reporting and dashboards on data quality trends and KPIs to business leadership.
  • Support compliance efforts with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data quality, data governance, or data management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of data quality dimensions, data profiling, and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in data quality tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Ataccama) and strong SQL skills.
  • Experience with data governance frameworks and working in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with metadata management, master data management, and data privacy regulations.

Preferred:

  • Experience in industries like banking, healthcare, insurance, or retail.
  • Experience working with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure).
  • Data management certifications (e.g., DAMA, CDMP, Informatica Certified Professional) are a plus.
