The position

Job description

We’re looking for an engaged and highly organised person to join our Closing Team with great language and client relationship skills. We’re enabling great businesses to succeed through equity crowdfunding and as a Closing Executive at Crowdcube, you will be part of a company’s funding journey by managing all matters relating to the completion of Crowdcube fundraising rounds and post-funding support. Fluency in both French and English is essential for this position and ideally will be based out of our Paris office. 

Responsibility for managing all matters relating to the completion of Crowdcube fundraising rounds and post-funding support, including but not limited to:

  • Management of the completion process and client relationships for European and UK companies (with a focus on European, and in particular French clients)

  • Raising invoices

  • Preparing and submitting compliance packs

  • Updating companies with regards to Anti-Money Laundering checks and payment collection (working closely with the Payments and AML Teams)

  • Working closely with the legal team in order to finalise the completion of the rounds

  • Assisting the Closing Team with:

  • developing processes (with and without Product support) for improving the efficiency of dealing with company completions, in particular communication with French investors and clients

  • the translation of legal documents into multiple languages (working with an external translator)

  • the translation of French communication documents and emails

  • working with the Product team to improve the experience for companies completing rounds, including improvements to the portfolio and other new product offerings

  • improving company content, FAQs and communications, specifically from a French perspective


Preferred experience

Ideally you will have:

  • Great language skills and be fluent in both French and English (this is essential for the role).

  • Fluency in Spanish as an additional language, though this is not essential.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Strong B2B customer service skills and experience in dealing with French and ideally other European business clients.

  • A high attention to detail, be extremely organised with the ability to prioritise your own workload and manage your own time.

  • Previous experience gained in either administration or legal secretarial work.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Proven knowledge of MS Office and/or Google Apps for work.

  • Prior experience of working in a financial services or regulated environment (highly desirable).

  • Interest in the startup ecosystem, though this is not essential.
